TRP Consulting undertook a visual inspection of the properties to assess the vertical displacement of the front elevation to the shops. It was established that the front elevation was out of plumb and that the existing cross walls provided very little restraint to the front wall due to cracking. At first floor level, the wall junctions had displaced. A cost effective structural solution was subsequently designed and implemented.
