The development provides high quality residential care facilities for mature persons. The property comprises three storeys of managed apartments and living spaces above a single storey basement that is used for plant and some ancillary support and staff areas. A range of facilities including a bistro, hair-and-beauty salon and function room which will be used to screen films, hold dances and stage events have been provided.
As the site lies within the flood zone, existing ground levels were raised by approximately 1.2m, resulting in perimeter retaining walls to some boundaries.
Foundations were piled with reinforced concrete pile caps and ground beams. The basement substructure comprises reinforced concrete to provide a high quality internal environment.
