The project was undertaken in two phases. Phase I of the works provides around 17,400m2 of industrial process building at PZ Cussons original site.
Phase II of the works involved the construction of PZ Cussons’ new facility at the former Agecroft colliery site in Salford, Manchester. The development comprises around 20,000m2 of Perfume factory and around 15,000m2 of reception, offices, laboratories, meeting spaces and ancilliary areas that form the Innovation Centre.
The main factory building is a single 33.5m span portal fame building with 8m clear height to eaves. The building includes a product storage platform, mixing platforms and office mezzanine adjacent to the Innovation Centre.
