The site is bounded by Castle Street and land adjacent to the Rochdale Canal. The development comprised extensions and alterations to an existing detached two storey brick built public house and restaurant that had previously been extended and refurbished in 1997. The works included the construction of a steel framed/ brickwork skin single-storey dining room extension with exposed structure to the east side of the existing building.
