Residential Development Manchester

A £6.5m seven-storey reinforced concrete framed building provides around sixty apartments with basement car parking. The development is within Castlefield Conservation Area close to Manchester City Centre.
    The superstructure comprises a series of reinforced concrete flat slabs supported on isolated columns and walls designed using finite element analysis. A confined site and complex residential unit layout necessitates the need for a reinforced concrete transfer structure at ground floor level to allow transition between residential and parking layouts.
