The redevelopment of the former health centre included the demolition of the existing buildings, the remediation of land affected by the petrol station and the construction and fit out of a two storey, steel framed building which is approximately 43m in width and 54 m in length. The building comprises 4 wings connected together at a central atrium. The redevelopment of the site also included car parking with associated access roads and a small amount of soft landscaping.

Speke was nominated for and won the RICS NW Community Benefit category at the award ceremony held at Lancashire County Cricket Club in May 2011.
